Third year into my undergraduate experience, I realized that research wasn’t my passion after my cancer research at the University of Iowa and that I was certain I didn’t want to become a Surgeon anymore. So, I decided to explore other possible fields of interest which led to me discovering my interest in Business and Black History, I was opportune to have a great science professor who has an MBA and encouraged me to pursue my newfound interest. Through the support of my various support systems, I continued to venture into my new path, I secured internship opportunities and each opportunity has continuously given me the clarity that I need to continue my professional goals.
